  “True. What about the competition?”

  “It was very interesting. I am quite impressed with yer sister’s skills. I wonder if she allowed Broden to win the distance exchange.”

  Keithen laughed. “No. Esme would not do that. He actually beat her.”

  They were silent for a moment and he continued forward. “Ewan’s speed was very surprising. I was not aware he could do that.”

  “I do not think anyone did. It made the day more exciting.”

  Her lips pressed against his throat. “Ye know what else would make this day memorable?” She nibbled at his earlobe.

  All thought evaporated when her hand slid down his stomach to between his legs and Keithen was immediately hard. “I am more than willing to make memories with ye.”

  “I want no clothing to come between us,” Ava murmured, pulling her nightshift up and over her head.

  Keithen quickly removed his long tunic and allowed her to push him back onto the bed.

  The weight of her body over his was perfection. Under his palms, the silkiness of her skin made him clutch her against him, needing to feel every inch pressed together.

  “Mmmm,” Ava murmured against his ear as he cupped her bottom and lifted his hips to rub his shaft down the center of her sex.

  Her apex was warmth and wetness, demanding to be taken, devoured by him. Keithen flipped Ava onto her back and moved down so he could taste her. Ava gasped when his mouth covered her sex, his tongue flicking the tiny engorged nub.

  Needing more and wanting the sensation of her coming undone while his mouth took her, Keithen circled his tongue inside her lips as he slipped his finger into her wetness. Ava bucked and cried out and trembled.

  The closer she neared to release, the more relentless he became in his efforts. He slipped his fingers in and out of her, suckled at her center and reached up with his other hand to run the pad of a finger over her tight nipple.

  Ava screamed in release, her body going rigid before she went limp.

  And still, he was not nearly done. Spreading her legs, he thrust into her and almost came undone when her tight sex wrapped around him.

  The view of Ava, eyes closed, hair spread out like fire and her lips parted, was the most beautiful he’d ever seen. With every thrust, her gorgeous breasts bounced like ripe fruit demanding to be picked and eaten.

  “Ahhh!” she cried out, once again shuddering with a second release and Keithen fought not to finish yet. He wanted to prolong the sensation by holding back.

  “Keithen,” Ava whimpered, her hands clutching his hips. “Faster.”

  Knowing it would be his undoing, he did as she demanded and thrust hard and fast. She met each of his drives, pushing back against him until losing control and flailing as she cried out for the third time.

  Keithen’s release was extreme, and he lost control. Once, twice and a third time, he continued to move, his body slapping against Ava’s, the sounds filling the chamber. When he came, a hoarse cry from deep in his throat erupted.

  Collapsing over Ava, he could not bear to move.

  Seeming to know he had to remain still for a moment to gather his wits about him, Ava slid her hands up and down his back and pressed a kiss to his wet temple.

  “The ending to a perfect day,” she murmured.

  Perhaps he’d been wrong, and Ava did not think or suspect Ewan of any wrongdoing. He frowned. It was a good thing as neither he nor Broden planned to bring up the subject with the Ross archer.

  “I love ye,” Ava whispered in his ear. “Because with ye, I will never again be alone.”

  Keithen flipped onto his back, then turned to his side to look at the beauty beside him. He caressed her face. “My family will be yers and I will always, always, be with ye. Never doubt it.”

  “I do have one doubt at the moment,” Ava said and Keithen braced for what she’d say.

  He let out a breath. “What do ye question?”

  She made a circle with a finger on his chest. “I do not think ye will be able to make love to me again tonight.”

  Keithen laughed, then grabbed his wife’s arms, pulling her face to face with him. “Give me yer hand.”

  Guiding it to his already hardening member, he waited for Ava’s fingers to wrap around it. Her eyes widened.

  “I will be more than ready for ye, Wife.”
